Custom Orders

With the wide acceptance of my instruments, I no longer have many instruments on hand.  I am taking custom orders and will guarantee current prices and a reasonable turnaround time.  The prices of my violins/fiddles range from $4,500 to $5,000.  My five-string fiddles range from $5,000 to $5,500.  Visit the current Fiddle Showcase to see some examples.

Each of my instruments are hand crafted using a basic Stradivarius, Guarnerius or Maggini pattern.  I use my own graduations and a piece of ivory by the string nut.  The ivory is a family trademark started by my father, Sam Daniels.   Matching wood chinrests are used if requested.

The backs of the instruments featured to the right represent some of the wood types Frank uses for his instrument backs.  From left to right, the woods are Silver Maple, Big Leaf Maple, Ten Mile (Boise) Maple, Quilted Maple, and Poplar.  Frank uses Idaho Englemann spruce that he cuts near McCall, Idaho for all of his instrument tops.
