#173, a three-fourth size Strad model, was completed in October 2009.  This instrument was a custom order for a lady from North Carolina who is about 5 feet tall and has very small hands.  The top wood is Idaho Engelmann spruce and the back, ribs and scroll are from a nicely figured piece of Carolina poplar.  Although this is only a three-fourth size instrument it has full-size tone. It projects very well and has a nice, even tone.
