#165 is a 4-string Guarneri model that was custom made for a professional musician.  The two-piece back, the sides and the neck are made from big leaf maple that Frank purchased from Bay Woods near Port Townsend, WA.  The top wood is Engelmann spruce that Frank harvested in central Idaho north of Brundage Mountain.  This instrument was completed in December 2008 and it has a very strong, very clear and very even tone.
