| #159 is a 4-string completed in May 2008. This instrument was custom made for 10-year old John Mueller of "The Muellers" a family band from Maine. Frank had the privilege of hand delivering this instrument to John at Silver Dollar City. It was great to hear him play it for the first time. Top wood used for this Guarneri model is Idaho Englemann Spruce cut by Frank near Brundage Ski Area just outside McCall, ID. The Back wood, sides and neck are made from a piece of beautifully figured Big Leaf Maple Frank purchased from Bay Woods, Port Townsend, Washington. |
