| Instrument #148, a Maggini model 5-string, was completed in August 2007. Englemann Spruce harvested by Frank near McCall, Idaho was used for the top and the back, ribs and neck are made from Carolina poplar that Frank harvested on the Saras farm near Shoshone, Idaho. This instrument has a beautiful deep tone, is even across the string and has a powerful, well-balanced "C" string. |
