| #143, a 4-string, was completed in March 2007. This instrument has an Idaho Englemann spruce top and a beautifully figured silver maple one-piece back, sides and scroll. The silver maple was harvested by Frank’s father 40-50 years ago. A Guarnerius pattern was used for the fiddle. The fiddle has great tonal qualities and is very even in volume across the four strings. This instrument sold in June 2007 at Grass Valley, California. |
