| Instrument #118, a 4-string Guarneri model, was completed in June 2005. Englemann Spruce, harvested by Frank near McCall, Idaho, was used for the top. The highly figured back, ribs and neck are made from silver maple that was cut by Mr. Richardson on his farm near Fruitland, Idaho. When Mrs. Richardson gave Frank some of this wood after her husband passed away, the first instrument Frank made was given to their grandson in memory of his grand father. The instrument is not only beautiful to look at but has a rich tone, projects well, and is easy to play |
