Frank's Fiddle Photos » Fiddle Showcase

#111 is a 5-string fiddle made from silver maple that came from a front yard near the junction of 10 Mile Road and Amity Road, located south and west of Boise, Idaho. The large tree had been blown down by intense winds from a microburst. This fiddle is set up with five Prim steel strings that seem to play very well with the fiddles I make. The color of this fiddle is a deep yellow-brown. The fiddle was made from a Maggini pattern, including Maggini "F" holes. It has good volume and very good tonal qualities. This instrument has sold.
